On behalf of our entire team I would like to extend a warm welcome to Rozelle Public School.
Enrolling your child in school is an exciting time, often mixed with emotion – especially for parents. As children embark on their school journey, there is certainly a great deal of information for families to process. As you navigate through our school’s website, I hope that you will develop a greater understanding of Rozelle Public School and the vibrancy of our community.
About our School
At Rozelle we create a safe and inclusive learning environment in which children develop a strong sense of belonging to their school and community. Our restorative practice approach provides a language and a framework for building respectful relationships, effective communication, personal and social responsibility.
Our professional and dedicated teachers have high expectations for every learner. They are committed to continually improving their teaching practice and using their expertise to create engaging and challenging learning programs, tailored to the needs of each student. A wide variety of in-school and extra curricula programs enhance student learning and achievement including the “Green Team”, which promotes sustainability across the school and wider community.
Our teachers are supported by a wonderful administrative team. When you enter the school, you will be warmly welcomed by our office staff. Poppy, Amanda and Sakiko who are more than happy to help and answer any of your questions.
Students, staff, parents and community members are encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life and in the decisions of the school. Parents are valued as true partners in the education of their children, contributing their initiative, energy, time and expertise to the school.
Our school year is full of major highlights, special events which we value and celebrate together. Concert, parades, special assemblies, art shows, carnivals, open classrooms bring our community together and showcase student achievement. Yet we strive to provide all students with highlights everyday they come to school. It may be something they have done well; or a new concept they have learned; or something they have improved at. These highlights are celebrated with their classmates, their teachers and their families.
